A very special anniversary for a very unique event at Buckeye Lake. Is it really possible that we, as a community, have been conducting the Tour of Homes for 25 years?
During that period over 20,000 volunteer hours have been donated to assure the success and continuation of the Tour. When you do the math, 150± homes have been featured and visited by upwards of 15,000 guests to the lake.
The Tour of Homes is that once a year opportunity to showcase the lifestyle that we enjoy here on Buckeye Lake. Returning visitors look forward to the Tour and many refer to it as their best Sunday of the summer.
This year's Tour of Homes will feature homes on the south shore of the lake and include a pontoon boat ride from Liebs Island to the center of the lake, over to Brooks Park and back to the main dock on Liebs Island.
Janet Bartholow will Chair the Tour of Homes again this year and will be assisted by Trudy Craig, Julie Clemons, Bud Springer, Maria Spring, Lou and Barbara Maresca, Dave Adams and Jeanne Frear in addition to more than 100 volunteers.
Mark your calendars now for Sunday, August 8th. The first boat will be departing the main dock at Noon and the last boat will leave at 3:00.

There is always a need for additional volunteers as it takes over 125 individuals to make the day a success. Consider some of the positions where we could use your assistance in August.
As a hostess, you will assist our guests while they are in the house, answering their questions and pointing out the major features of the home.
As a dock worker, you will assist with the docking of the boats and helping guests on and off of the boats as they visit each home.
As a boat captain, you and your 1st mate will transport our guests from home to home and share the enjoyment of your passengers as you give them a boat tour of the lake.
Everyone has a great time and most come back the following year to lend a hand once again.
