The Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association continues a 20 year tradition as they prepare to present the 2008 Tour of Homes.
This unique event is one of a kind and offers the opportunity to experience the lifestyle of lakefront living on Buckeye Lake.
On August
10th, 2008 visitors will board pontoon boats and travel from dock to dock as they visit the homes of residents who have graciously volunteered to participate in this fund-raising event.
Over 100 local volunteers make this Tour of Homes possible. The generous support of the surrounding communities makes possible the continuation of special projects around the lake.
Past projects that the Tour of Homes helps to support include:
Þ Buckeye Lake State Park Amusement Park Fountain beautification and the addition of Crystal Beach
Þ New Flags and Flag Poles at Leibs
Island, Fairfield Beach and Brooks Park
Þ Reconditioning the swim area at Fairfield Beach
Þ Addition of sand for Brooks Park beach
Þ Landscaping the entrance area to Leibs Island
Þ Reconditioning the Williams Memorial
Þ Support of BLASST, a community sponsored 4th of July fireworks display over Buckeye Lake
Þ Support of Ryan Park, to provide recreation opportunities of area children
Þ Support of Buckeye Lake Library
